Embodying Forgiveness: The Practice of Reconciliation in Worship
- Course Dates: Fri 9 February 2018, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

As the Archbishop of Canterbury regularly reminds us, Christian ministry springs from God reconciling the world to himself in Christ.
The aim of this course is to explore how this ministry and its theological rationale are expressed in worship.
A biblical and liturgical case for the importance of reconciliation will be made. Drawing upon the liturgical provision of the Church of England the reach, variety and possibilities of practicing reconciliation in worship will be demonstrated. Poised close to the beginning of Lent, the day will include close attention to the reconciliation of individual penitents and corporate services of reconciliation.
