James Woodward

As a Practical Theologian James has focussed on areas of health and healing, old age, the practice of theological reflection, and end of life care. In thirty years of ministerial experience James has worked in a range of contexts, including health care chaplaincy and rural ministry, where he has consistently delivered sustainable growth and development in thinking and practice. As a theological educator James has taught in the Universities of Birmingham, Warwick, Cardiff, and in writing and delivering distance learning materials for part-time students through The Open University.

TimHarleSmallTim Harle

Tim lives at the interface of business and faith. He has worked at senior levels in service sector companies, ranging from a FTSE100 to a family-owned SME. In the past he has worked with government ministers at Whitehall. He combines this experience with insights from academic disciplines in the field of leadership and organisational studies. Tim is a Visiting Fellow at Bristol Business School, where he teaches at Masters level on People in Organizations; he is also programme director for the executive short courses Leading through Complexity and New Thinking in Management. He is Vice-Chair of MODEM, a network promoting mutual learning between churches and business in the areas of leadership, management and ministry. Tim organised MODEM’s annual conference hosted by Sarum College in 2011. Tim’s special interest is in understanding leadership and change from the perspectives of ecosystems and complexity theory. Tim is the programmer leader for the MA in Christian Approaches to Leadership (Sarum).
