And Then the Heaven Espy: Sarum Exhibition Features in Church Times

Alex Hoare’s Triptych in Kilnformed Glass

Sarum College’s contemporary glass exhibition Through a Glass Darkly features in 9 November issue of Church Times.

The article includes the following excerpts.

“At Sarum College, it is believed that art should not be isolated in a sterile gallery, but should surround people in the daily life; and so the pieces are placed in the communal areas around the college.”

“The seven artists featured, all masters in the field of glass art and ecclesiastical art, have presented not only an enormous variety of colours, shapes, and designs, but a diversity of philosophical attitudes to expressing faith and hope in the ultimate light.”
