We often learn more by listening to others and hearing the stories other people tell about us rather than colluding with our own illusions and insecurities. In this one-day course we will look at how the popular media and other forms of popular culture have portrayed, caricatured, lampooned and reconstructed the role of the traditional cleric/pastor/minister in contemporary society. From the ridiculous to the sublime and everything in between this course will hold up a mirror to both lay and ordained who want to see themselves from the outside looking in – as such we will be in for many surprises!
