Please note that this course has been cancelled. There are plans to find new dates to offer the course again in autumn 2014. Contact Alison Ogden for all enquiries.
Series of four Wednesday sessions on 30 October, 27 November 2013, 29 January and 26 February 2014.
This course is designed for anyone in pastoral ministry, lay or ordained, wishing to develop their skills and understanding of pastoral supervision.
Places are limited to 15 in order to facilitate an adult learning environment that blends theory and practical skills development. Participants need to have experience of being in supervision as well as supervising others, and be willing to share their supervisory experience with the group.
The course days have been specifically spaced to maximise reflective learning as well as to provide an opportunity practise what has been experience during sessions. Some of the areas that will be covered are: models of supervision; establishing a working alliance; attending to the context in which the supervision takes place; the skills of supervision; reviewing the process.
This course meets the current training requirements for General Accreditation with APSE (Association of Pastoral Supervisors & Educators).
Price £200, includes lunch and refreshments on all four days
