Spirituality: Private or Public Enterprise?

Please note that this module was formerly titled Green Faith.

This module will examine the impact the Christian tradition has had on ecological thinking and political and healthcare concerns.

It will encourage students to engage with both positive and negative parts of the tradition in order to develop an ecotheology, and political and pastoral theology/spirituality  that can be used in liturgy, doctrine and  a range of public contexts.

The module aims to enable students to critically evaluate  the challenge presented by key public concerns to the spiritualities that underpin a Christian lifestyle. The module enables students to work in an interdisciplinary manner.
